Tried to go back to work

I was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer in 2015 at age 36. I now have widespread abdominal mets at age 42. I have a 19-year-old son and a 10-year-old daughter. I'm in the middle of a very messy divorce and have been a single parent since 2012. I have also been battling an autoimmune disorder which finally looks close to being diagnosed as a thyroid issue.

I wish I could work. I feel extremely lazy and dysfunctional. However, every time I have tried to go back to work I've experienced physical and emotional breakdowns. I watch other survivors continue to work – even through treatment! I am envious.

I wish I could have afforded to have had health insurance. "Living life to the fullest" is difficult when your finances are limited.
